DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Monster 937 SP with the JP ACS 050 throttle housing, machined from Ergal and anodised black.
Key Features
- Ducati Monster 937 SP (2021–2025)
- Throttle housing without switch block
- CNC-machined from Ergal 7075
- Black anodised
- Machined throttle tube bore
- Uses the original cables or sensor
Öhlins and Stylema
The SP adds a fully adjustable Öhlins fork and shock, Brembo Stylema calipers and a lithium battery. It also loses the pillion seat, which tells you what Ducati had in mind.
A Hundred and Sixty-Four Kilograms
Two kilograms below the standard 937, which on a motorcycle already this light takes genuine effort. The lithium battery and the single seat account for most of it.
An Aluminium Front Frame
Taken from the Panigale V4's architecture and bolted directly to the engine. It is stiffer than the trellis it replaced and considerably lighter, whatever anyone thinks of how it looks.
Housing, Not Switch
This part leaves the switch block alone. It is the throttle assembly by itself, for owners whose switchgear works and who object to moulded plastic on a bike specified like this.
Bore Tolerance
A machined bore keeps the tube concentric and the rotation smooth. On a ride-by-wire bike that turns into how faithfully the engine follows what the wrist actually did.
One Finish
Black anodised, converted into the metal. Against gold suspension and a distinctive livery, a quiet cockpit is generally the more successful decision.
Aerospace Alloy
Ergal 7075 at roughly double the strength of ordinary machined aluminium. Harder to cut and considerably better at holding a clamping face on a handlebar.
A Track Day Monster
The SP is set up for circuits in a way no previous Monster was, with the suspension, brakes and weight to make that credible. It is the version people take to track days without apologising.
No Pillion Seat
Ducati removed the passenger provision from the SP rather than leaving it as an option. It saves weight, it changes the shape of the tail and it tells you exactly which of the two Monsters the company expected to see at a circuit.
