DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Suzuki DL800 V-Strom that spends its week in town, the rear brake is in constant, low-key use: rolling up to red lights, creeping through queues and holding the bike on a slope while the rider looks for a gap. AGPP88 in the Organic (OR) mixture is the rear pad Accossato lists for the DL800 V-Strom from 2023 to 2024. It is chosen by riders who want a soft, quiet rear brake that is easy to meter and kind to the disc.
Key Features

- Gentle response for walking-pace control
- Runs quietly in traffic
- Front pad for the bike: AGPA72

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato sums up its Organic compound in two points: it keeps working for a long time and it helps preserve the disc. On a rear brake that is touched lightly but very often, those two points carry the most weight. The maker also names reasonable stopping force and a tendency to stay cool, which keeps fade away during town riding.
Filtering Through Town on the V-Strom 800
A tall adventure bike in heavy traffic asks for fine control at low speed. Many riders drag the rear brake lightly while slipping the clutch, which keeps the V-Strom 800 steady when moving at walking pace between cars. An organic pad lends itself to that technique, because pressure on the pedal translates into a gentle, gradual slowing rather than a sudden stop. The same goes for tight car parks and garage ramps. Keep chain spray off the rear disc, since it lands there easily, and clean the caliper with water and a soft brush rather than a pressure washer aimed straight at the seals.
After fitting, press the pedal several times until the pads are back against the disc, and check that the wheel spins freely afterwards.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPP88 is Accossato's rear pad for the DL 800 V-Strom from 2023 to 2024. The front pad for this bike is AGPA72. Only these two model years are named in the list. The same rear plate is also produced as Sintered, for riders who ride through the wet months or carry a lot of luggage.
Road Approval
AGPP88OR comes to us without an ABE or German inspection report. We therefore sell it for motorsport use.
