DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a heavy motorcycle like the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin, the rear brake does a lot of quiet work in the background: settling the bike in traffic, holding it at a junction and controlling speed on a gravel road. Accossato lists its AGPP88 rear pads for the CRF1100L Africa Twin of 2020 to 2026, and this box holds the version in the Organic (OR) compound, a soft mix for relaxed daily riding.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin, 2020 to 2026
- Organic (OR) compound with gradual, easy-to-dose response
- Accossato highlights long performance and low disc wear
- Pleasant for stop-and-go traffic and slow manoeuvring
- Two pads in the box
- The same pad in ST is also available
- No German ABE held; for competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the Organic mix as giving performance that lasts longer while limiting wear on the disc. For a rear brake that is used gently and often, those properties are welcome, and the progressive onset reduces the chance of locking the wheel at low speed. Accossato also names long life, limited heating against fade and strong stopping for its pads in general.
Holding a Heavy Bike at Walking Pace
Turning a tall, heavy adventure bike in a narrow street or a car park is easier with a little rear brake applied, because it keeps the chassis settled while the throttle stays open. Riders of the CRF1100L Africa Twin, especially those new to big bikes, benefit from a rear pad that responds smoothly to small pedal movements. In town and in queues, the organic mix works well at its normal temperature. Check the rear pads when you service the chain, since grime from the rear wheel collects around the caliper.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPP88 for the CRF 1100 L Africa Twin of 2020 to 2026. The front of the same model takes the AGPA240, also listed from 2020 to 2026. Pull an old pad and compare it with the product image before ordering. After fitting, press the pedal several times until the pressure is back and bed in the pads gently.
Road Approval
No ABE or German approval exists for this rear set as far as our records show, so it is intended for competition and circuit use.
Scope of Delivery
Two Organic pads for the rear caliper, packed as one set.
