DescriptionThe whole story▼
Behind the fairing of the Yamaha Tracer 900 sits a lively three-cylinder engine, but many owners simply use the bike as a fast, comfortable way to get to work and back. On that daily run the brakes see more traffic lights than hairpins. Accossato front pad AGPA97 in the Organic (OR) compound is aimed at this rider. Accossato lists AGPA97 for the Tracer 900 from 2015 to 2024. OR keeps the brake quiet and mild, and it is designed to be kind to the discs over high annual distances.
Key Features
- AGPA97 front pad in Accossato's Organic (OR) compound
- For the Yamaha Tracer 900, 2015-2024
- Accossato: longer performance, limited disc wear
- Mild, even bite for commuting
- Quiet in rush-hour traffic
- Two pads per box, one caliper
- Also offered as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
The Organic compound, as Accossato presents it, is about endurance and discretion: it keeps its performance for a long time and wears the disc only lightly. A Tracer 900 that covers many thousands of commuting kilometres a year benefits from both. Accossato's general claims for all its pads, gradual wear, fade kept low through limited heat and strong stopping, are quoted as the maker's statements; we have not tested them ourselves.
A Triple for the Commute
The Tracer 900's engine makes it easy to leave traffic behind, but in town the rider spends much of the journey slowing gently for lights and junctions. Brakes used that way stay cool, and OR is designed to bite naturally at those temperatures, without the wooden feel some harder compounds show when cold. Its quiet running is pleasant when rolling slowly through a residential street at seven in the morning. Riders who add long summer tours, often with a pillion, may find ST suits them better, and EV1 appeals to those who ride quickly on dry weekends.
Keeping Costs Down
High-mileage commuters change pads often. Swapping them on both front calipers at once keeps braking balanced. Clean the pistons before easing them back, check disc thickness against Yamaha's limit and refresh the fluid if it has darkened.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA97 for the TRACER 900 with the years 2015 to 2024. The Tracer 900 has twin front discs, each with a caliper, so a full front change takes two boxes. Accossato's rear pad for the model is AGPP88, also listed for 2015 to 2024.
Road Approval
There is no ABE and no test documentation for AGPA97OR on our side; the pads are offered for motorsport use.
Scope of Delivery
