DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Z900RS Cafe takes the retro four-cylinder of the Z900RS and adds a small headlight fairing, lower bars and a café-racer seat. It is a bike for town as much as for the open road, and in town it often lives in an underground car park. The Accossato LV021 is a folding brake lever with integrated adjuster for the original radial master cylinder of the Cafe, listed from 2018 to 2020. Its coloured blade can fold at the joint with its black base, and its reach is adjustable.

Construction and Material Quality
The LV021 is machined from aluminium on CNC equipment and anodised in two parts: a base that is always black and a blade in your chosen colour. The base locates on the pivot of the Cafe's radial master cylinder, and the blade connects to it at the joint that lets it fold. Accossato's name for the LV021 includes an integrated adjuster, and since we know nothing more about it than that, we describe nothing more. The blade has one standard length and can be ordered with or without the RST opening.
A Shared Underground Car Park
Underground car parks are tight, dim and full of pillars. A motorcycle bay is often a leftover corner next to the ramp, or a painted rectangle between two cars, and the Z900RS Cafe standing there shares its space with doors, bumpers and people carrying shopping. The brake lever is the part that sticks out into the gap. A driver reversing into the neighbouring space, a door opened carelessly or a pushchair steered past can all catch it, and a fixed lever has nowhere to go. A folding blade can swing aside, which reduces the chance of finding it bent. Parking the Cafe with its right side towards a wall or pillar, where possible, keeps the lever out of the traffic, and leaving it in gear stops it rolling on a sloping floor. Before you ride out, look at the blade and the reach setting; the lighting down there is poor, so a deliberate check is worth the few seconds it takes on the Z900RS Cafe.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the LV021 for the Z900RS Cafe from 2018 to 2020, under the entry Z 900 RS CAFE, and specifies the original radial master cylinder. In the range we carry, it is the only Accossato lever listed for the Cafe, so there is no matching Accossato clutch lever for this model.
Road Approval
For the LV021, no German ABE has been documented; it is offered for use on the track.
