A KB4 tends to cover fewer kilometres in a year than the engine underneath it was designed for. It is ridden on chosen days, kept indoors, and spends long stretches standing still — and standing still is its own kind of service interval. A filter does not stop ageing when the bike stops moving: damp air moves through a garage, dust settles, and a cellulose element takes up moisture from the air around it whether or not anyone rides. The Sprint Filter P08 PM111S suits that pattern better than a disposable element, because it can be inspected and restored on demand rather than replaced on a mileage schedule the bike will take years to reach.

Ageing that the odometer never records

Service schedules assume a motorcycle is used steadily. A machine that covers modest annual distances hits its calendar limits long before its distance limits, and the owner is left deciding whether a part that looks fine should be thrown away anyway. Care and cleaning

After a long stand or a long ride, the procedure is the same: compressed air from the clean side, blown outwards. If that is not enough, lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinsed until the water runs clear, then drying fully in open air — never with heat, never with a flame — before refitting it dry.
