Dark, and What It Costs

Across most of Spark's range the dark and the bare version of a kit carry the same list price. Here the dark one is the cheaper of the two by twenty-four euro. It is a small enough gap to be noise in the decision, but it does mean the finish is not being sold as an upgrade.

What the dark style does on an orange-and-black motorcycle is obvious enough: two bright titanium cases sitting high on the tail draw the eye to the exhaust, and two dark ones let the bodywork keep it.

Where the Dark Sits

On the silencers. The 1-into-2 pipe that carries them and the standard catalysed collector underneath are unchanged, so what you get is a dark pair of cases on an otherwise standard-looking front half. That is a different thing from Spark's Black Series on other models, where the treatment runs the full visible length of the system.

The Case Itself

Moto GP is the short, wide shape in Spark's catalogue — a stubby case with a large round outlet, sitting tight to the subframe rather than reaching past the tail. It is what Spark fits from the small singles up to the Super Duke, so the silhouette on a 790 is the family silhouette.

Which Duke, Exactly

Spark lists this kit for the DUKE 790 of 2018 to 2020. That is the original generation. The 790 that returned in 2023 and the whole 890 family take different kits — GKT0110TOM and GKT0115TOM with Grid-O silencers, or the Euro5+ Dyno kits.

Installation

Slip-on level: the kit mounts onto the standard catalysed collector, so the catalytic converter stays on the motorcycle. Both silencers sit high, one each side, on a 1-into-2 pipe.
