The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it. Öhlins pressure-tests its hoses because a reservoir line carries the full gas charge. The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it.

Genuine Service Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 00640-09. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. The published dimensions are dimension a 10 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 360 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be substituted freely.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00640-09

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 10 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 360 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00640-09_a3c319c3-3c5d-4356-a040-424c59234821.png?v=1788870112
