Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 04779-02

Function

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Housing threads carry the adjusters and are the part that suffers if the adjuster is forced. Housings carry bores for adjusters and seals; their concentricity decides whether the unit seals. Mounting hardware is model-specific — the damper body may be common, the brackets never are.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 04779-02 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only. Öhlins machines housings from solid billet rather than casting them.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04779-02

Category: Brackets

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04779-02_d036b765-d6f2-4a4f-b35c-ce6afaeb6cc2.png?v=1788873559
