DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 007 lets the Hypermotard 950 run without its secondary air solenoid and without the warning that normally follows the moment the connector is pulled apart.
Key Features
- Ducati Hypermotard 950 (2019–2025)
- Takes the secondary air solenoid out of the circuit
- No warning on the instrument panel
- Plugs into Ducati's own connector
- Nothing cut, nothing spliced
- Standard valve refits at any time
A Hundred and Seventy-Eight Kilograms
Dry, which makes the Hypermotard one of the lightest motorcycles Ducati builds and the reason it is so entertaining on a tight road.
Nothing Stored
Because the self-test passes rather than being circumvented, no code waits in memory for a dealer to find at the next service.
Under the Tank
On most of the range the connector sits above the airbox, which means the tank comes off. The access takes longer than the exchange does.
Ordinary Tools
Nothing here needs a special fitting or a diagnostic connection. Seat off, tank lifted, connector swapped, everything back together and a short ride.
No Effect on Fuelling
The injectors are shut when the valve operates, so nothing the eliminator does touches the mixture at any point where mixture exists.
On a Track Bike
Where there is no approval to lose and no inspection to pass, the only remaining question is whether the work is neat and the parts kept.
Before Anything Else on a Build
Fuelling, exhausts and mapping all rest on the assumption that the engine is breathing what the sensors think it is. This is the change that makes that true.
The Resistance, Not a Signal
There is no microcontroller in the eliminator and nothing that needs power to work. It presents a fixed value the controller reads as a healthy winding, which is why it cannot drift, cannot lose its calibration and cannot behave differently on a cold morning than it did in summer. A passive part in a hot, wet, vibrating place is the correct engineering answer.
Clearing the Memory Afterwards
Fitting the eliminator stops new faults being stored, but it does not erase the ones already there. A diagnostic tool clears the history in seconds and it is worth doing at the same time, because a warning that was already logged will otherwise sit in the record and confuse the next person who reads it, whether that is a dealer, a buyer or you in three years.
A Supermoto With Emissions Equipment
The Hypermotard exists to be ridden hard in short bursts, which means a great many cold starts and short runs. That is the pattern that ages a secondary air system fastest, and it explains why the fault appears on these machines at mileages that would seem far too low elsewhere.
