The JP ES 007 takes the RSV4 RF's secondary air valve out of the circuit and keeps the panel clean.

What the System Does
Admits air to the exhaust ports on a closed throttle so residue burns in the header. It lowers a measured figure and changes nothing else.
The Monitored Winding
Checked at every start. An empty connector is electrically identical to a broken wire and the warning follows immediately.
The Expected Impedance
This unit supplies it rather than bridging the pins. Nothing is stored and nothing appears on the instrument panel.
Numbered Batches
Aprilia sold the RF in limited, numbered runs with Öhlins suspension and forged wheels. A surprising number survived in good condition rather than being used up.
Two Hundred and One Horsepower
From 2017, after Aprilia reworked the engine and the fairing. The RF carried that update along with the higher specification.
Now on Grids
Because so many were kept rather than ridden, well-preserved RFs keep appearing on club circuits years after they left the showroom.
The Overrun
Residue burning in the header rather than a note from the silencer. Removing the air supply is the only change that stops it.
Before Any Fuelling Work
Air entering downstream of combustion moves the lambda readings and every decision made from them.
The Cover Completes It
The reed pack remains on the cylinder heads until the mechanical half is replaced.
Homologation
The system belongs to the approval and removing it ends road legality in Europe.
Öhlins and Forged Wheels
The RF was the higher specification of its generation, with suspension and rims that most owners would otherwise have bought separately. Aprilia priced it close enough to the RR that a great many buyers took it, which is why so many survive in good condition.
