The JP KS DU005 is a machined, sealed replacement for the Panigale 1299's ignition block, aimed at owners who trailer the bike rather than park it.

The Last Big Twin
Ducati took the Superquadro to its limit before the V4 arrived. The 1299 is the end of a line that ran for twenty-five years and it is raced accordingly.
Reversible
The standard block refits on its own fasteners with its own connector. Keeping it in a labelled bag is the whole of the requirement.
The Button
A single sealed push button doing what the key did: arm the ignition, then kill it. There is nothing else to learn about operating it.
Two Minutes to Understand
There is one button and one function. Nobody has ever needed instructions for this part beyond knowing which way is on.
Race Regulations
Championships differ on how the engine has to be stoppable and where the control must sit. Read the rulebook before the order rather than after it.
Nothing Else Changes
Traction control, the maps, the quickshifter and the lights all continue exactly as before. The ignition circuit is the only one involved.
The Number Is Modest
Three hundred and fifty grams. Nobody should buy this expecting a lap time, and everybody who has fitted one mentions the keyless operation first.
Preparing a Machine for the Track
The lights come off, the mirrors come off and the number plate bracket follows. The ignition lock is on the same list and it is the one people leave until last.
Made in Italy
JetPrime machine and assemble the part themselves rather than badging a bought-in switch, which is visible in how the plate meets the yoke.
Mass at the Steering Head
Weight above the fork crown resists the rider twice on every corner: once turning in and once picking the bike up. Three hundred and fifty grams there is worth considerably more than the same amount removed from under the seat.
