DescriptionThe whole story▼

An autumn ride over a mountain pass on a Yamaha YZF-R25, with a pillion and a tank bag, is a very different job for the front brake than a sunny spin. For the R25 from 2015 to 2020, Accossato offers the AGPA243 front pad in the Sintered (ST) compound. It suits riders who ride all year, in rain and cold, often loaded up, and who want a lever that feels identical from the first to the last corner. Accossato says it keeps high, constant grip at any temperature and grips well in the wet.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Yamaha YZF-R25, model years 2015 to 2020
  • AGPA243 outline in the Sintered (ST) compound, code AGPA243ST
  • High, constant grip at low and high temperatures, per Accossato
  • Good grip on a wet disc
  • Two pads per box for one caliper
  • Also available as OR, EV1 and ZXC
  • No German ABE held; intended for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Sintered material is Accossato's all-season option in the AGPA243 range. The company describes a friction level that stays high and does not change much between a cold and a hot brake, plus good grip in the rain. For a YZF-R25 ridden in every month, that stability is the main benefit. The pads are designed for long wear and limited fade. Two pads come in each box, the set for one caliper.

Pass Roads, Rain and a Passenger

Coming down a long pass with a passenger, the front brake of a small twin is used repeatedly and gets warm. Then, at the bottom, a shower soaks everything. A sintered pad keeps the lever behaving the same through both situations. Riders who tour on their R25 or commute through winter tend to value that more than an extra bit of bite. For purely town use, the OR version is gentler on the disc; for fast track days, EV1 or ZXC are the more sporting materials.

Before You Set Off

Check the disc for wear, clean the caliper and pistons before retracting them, and top up fluid if needed. After fitting, pump the lever until firm and bed in the new pads with several progressive stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA243 is listed by Accossato for the front of the Yamaha YZF-R25 from 2015 to 2020, named YZF 250 R25 in its catalogue. The rear brake of the same bikes takes the AGPP254. Check how many front calipers your bike uses, since each box is enough for one. No Accossato discs appear for this model in our data.

Road Approval

We have received no approval documents or German ABE for this pad, so it is offered for track and competition riding.

Scope of Delivery

Two sintered front pads in one box, a set for one caliper of the YZF-R25.
