DescriptionThe whole story▼
The MT-10 SP's rear brake rarely gets much attention, yet it is the key to smooth low-speed control on a heavy, powerful naked. Accossato's AGPP88OR is the rear pad for the SP from 2017 to 2024 in the Organic (OR) compound. It suits owners who use the rear pedal with a light foot, to trim speed in town, balance the bike during slow manoeuvres or settle it before a bend, and who value a smooth response and a long-lasting rear disc.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Yamaha MT-10 SP, model years 2017 to 2024

- For light, frequent use and low-speed control
- Two pads per box, the full set for the single rear caliper
- Rear plate also made in ST
- Front pad for the SP: AGPA97
- No German ABE on record; offered for track and competition
Construction and Material Quality
The AGPP88 rear plate comes in two compounds from Accossato, and this box holds the organic version. The company says it offers long-lasting performance and reduced disc wear. On the rear of a road-going SP, where the brake is used lightly and often, those are the qualities that matter.
Settling the Chassis with the Rear
Experienced riders often use a touch of rear brake to calm a big bike before turning in. On the MT-10 SP, a light press on the pedal as the throttle closes keeps the chassis steady and helps the bike hold its line, especially in slower corners. At walking pace, in car parks or tight turns, the rear brake is the main tool for controlling speed without upsetting balance. An organic pad responds progressively, which makes these small inputs easier to judge. It is quiet and wears the disc slowly. Check the rear pads whenever you adjust the chain, and look for scoring or a lip on the disc edge.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's catalogue links the AGPP88 to the rear of the Yamaha MT-10 SP from 2017 to 2024, and the AGPA97 to the front. One box is enough for the rear. Clean the piston before pressing it back, look over the disc and check the reservoir. There are no Accossato discs listed for the SP. Pump the pedal until firm and bed in with light stops.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or test certificate for this rear pad. The AGPP88OR is offered for circuit and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
