DescriptionThe whole story▼

A good number of Triumph Street Triple 675 bikes now serve as affordable second-hand commuters, bought for their lively three-cylinder engine and ridden daily through traffic. For that life, the Accossato AGPA72 front pad in Organic (OR) compound is the relaxed choice. Accossato lists it for the Street Triple 675 from 2008 to 2016, and it is aimed at riders who brake often at modest speed, value a quiet front end and would like their discs to last several more years.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the Triumph Street Triple 675, 2008 to 2016
  • AGPA72 shape in Organic (OR) compound, article AGPA72OR
  • Aimed at commuting and everyday traffic
  • Accossato promises lasting performance and reduced disc wear
  • Two pads per box; the twin front calipers need two boxes
  • Other compounds on this shape: ST, EV1 and EV2
  • No German ABE; offered for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Behind the OR suffix is Accossato's organic recipe, which the Italian company says gives performance that lasts while reducing wear on the disc. For an older Street Triple 675 whose discs may already have covered many miles, that second point has real value. The friction layer is bonded to the AGPA72 plate, and the organic version is the everyday option in a family that runs up to a racing mix.

Giving an Older Triple a Fresh Start

A used Street Triple 675 may arrive with pads of unknown age and fluid that has not been changed for years. Before fitting new pads, measure the disc thickness against the minimum marked on it, look for grooves and rust, and check that each caliper piston moves back smoothly once cleaned. Old, dark fluid should be swapped out in the same session. The 675 carries two front calipers, so fit fresh pads to both sides to keep the braking even. Once everything is back together, pump the lever until it is firm and bed the pads in with a series of calm stops.

Daily Traffic

Commuting means countless low-speed stops at lights and junctions, often with cold brakes. An organic compound tends to feel natural in that setting, grabbing smoothly without needing heat. It is also quieter than harder mixes, which suits early starts in residential streets.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPA72 for the front of the Triumph Street Triple 675 from 2008 to 2016. Its catalogue names the version as Street Triple 675 with the years 2008 to 2017, while the fitment line ends in 2016, so owners of a 2017 bike should confirm the caliper first. Two front calipers mean two boxes. For the rear, Accossato lists the AGPP91 from 2013 to 2016, and its DK203 disc for this model. ST, EV1 and EV2 are available on the same shape.

Road Approval

We have been given no test certificate or German ABE for this pad, so it is offered for circuit and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
