DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 blends classic looks with a modern chassis, and in its first model years, 2019 and 2020, many were bought as stylish everyday bikes for town and weekend rides. A front brake on such a machine should feel smooth and predictable, work well from the first stop of the morning and avoid chewing through its discs. This box contains the Accossato AGPA112 front pad in the Organic (OR) compound, catalogued for the 2019 to 2020 Speed Twin 1200.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) front pads, article AGPA112OR
- Triumph Speed Twin 1200, model years 2019 and 2020
- For town riding, café trips and relaxed weekends
- Accossato cites lasting performance and reduced disc wear
- Two pads per box; the twin front calipers need two boxes
- Alternatives: ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato fills the AGPA112 shape with five different materials; the one in this box is organic. Its maker promises performance that endures over the life of the pad and gentler treatment of the disc. That profile fits a modern classic ridden for pleasure in town, where stops are frequent but seldom hard. An organic pad is ready to work the moment the bike leaves the kerb, with no need to build up heat first.
Cobbles, Cafés and Short Hops
Old town centres, with their cobbles, tram lines and narrow lanes, are where a Speed Twin 1200 looks at home and where its front brake must be used with a delicate hand. Small, smooth inputs on the lever help keep the front tyre calm on uneven stone. An organic pad with a gentle initial response suits that style. It also tends to run quietly, which is pleasant when you roll up outside a café. Keep an eye on both front calipers when servicing, and renew pads on both sides together.
Fitting Tip
Push the pistons back only after cleaning them, and pump the lever to full pressure before the first ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
On the Triumph Speed Twin 1200, the front wheel carries two discs and two calipers. One box equips one caliper, so a full front change takes two boxes. Accossato's list places this front pad on the 2019 and 2020 bikes; later years are not included in the entry. For the rear, the AGPA76 is catalogued across 2019 to 2023. The AGPA112 is also sold in Sintered, EV1, EV2 and ZXC.
Road Approval
We have no road inspection document and no German ABE for this pad. It is sold for track and competition use.
