DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha MT-10 SP has been the senior member of the family since 2017, bought by riders who wanted the sharper version of an already sharp machine. Accossato carries it on the application list as far as 2025. Dates like that are a snapshot of what a manufacturer has entered, not a statement about the future, and knowing how to read them saves trouble. The part in question is the FC124, a quick-release fuel tank cap machined from aluminium with a pawl in one of six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Yamaha MT-10 SP, 2017 to 2025
- Listed by Accossato as a separate version
- Aluminium throughout, machined on CNC equipment
- Quick-closing pawl for opening and closing the tank
- Pin colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Spare pawl available on its own
- Ask us if your model year is not shown on the list
- No German ABE documented; track use
Construction and Material Quality
There is one material here and it is aluminium, cut on CNC machines from beginning to end, which Accossato sums up as robust and durable. The design is new. What matters in the paddock is the quick-closing pawl, which lets the MT-10 SP's tank be opened and shut without any of the fumbling that a conventional fitting invites when your hands are cold. The pin in the pawl carries the colour, one of six, and the pawl itself is kept in the catalogue as a spare so that damage to it stays a small matter.
When the Listing Stops Short
A list that ends at a particular year raises an obvious question for anybody with a newer machine. The honest answer is that we do not know what we have not been told. An entry ending in 2025 means the manufacturer has recorded applications up to that point, and it is possible that a later model year fits perfectly well and simply has not been added yet. It is also possible that something changed. Rather than guess on your behalf, we would rather you wrote to us with the year and the exact designation of your MT-10 SP so that we can check the current list before anything leaves the warehouse. That is slower than clicking a button, and it is the reason this shop has few returns.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the MT-10 1000 SP from 2017 to 2025, which is the span this product covers. The standard MT-10 has its own entry for the same cap. In our range the FC124 is also filed under the MT-09 SP and the FZ1 Fazer. Compare your machine with the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
Accossato records no German ABE and no parts certificate for this cap, so it belongs on closed courses. For riding on public roads the MT-10 SP keeps its factory cap, which normally locks with the ignition key.
