Carbon at both ends. Spark's twin Dyno slip-on with carbon fibre end caps is the least expensive of the three finishes and the only one where the end cap and the heat shields are made from the same material.
Key Features
- Euro5 approved twin slip-on for the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and RR, 2021 to 2024.
- Two Dyno silencers with carbon fibre end caps.
- Two carbon heat shields, designed specifically for the Speed Triple.
- 2.3 kg against 3.2 kg standard.
- Connects to both original fittings, keeping the twin exit.
- The most affordable of the three GTR0104 finishes.
One Material, Two Places
The anodised versions of this slip-on pair a milled aluminium end cap with carbon heat shields — two materials doing two jobs. This one uses carbon for both.
Visually that reads as a more coherent installation: the shields under the silencers and the caps at their outlets are the same weave, catching light the same way. On a naked bike, where both are fully exposed, that consistency is the whole argument for this version over the anodised ones.
Where Carbon Belongs on an Exhaust
Both places it is used here are the right ones. The end cap sits at the coolest point of the system, after the gas has given up most of its heat, and carries no load beyond closing the case. The heat shields never touch hot gas at all — they sit between the silencer and the rider's leg.
Elsewhere on an exhaust carbon is decoration. Spark uses it at exactly these two points and nowhere else, which is a reasonable definition of using a material rather than advertising with it.
What You Are Not Buying
The anodised versions cost around a hundred and twenty euros more, and what they add is the milled aluminium cap: 6000-series alloy, five-axis CNC, perforated, with different radii inside and out so it reflects light from several angles.
That is a genuinely different object — a machined component rather than a moulded one — and it is worth the difference to some owners and not to others. The silencers, the weight, the approval and the heat shields are identical across all three.
Washing It
Spark prints a care instruction in capitals for this range and it applies to the carbon version too: do not use aggressive products — no degreasers, no car shampoo. Wash with water only, and rinse.
On carbon the concern is the clear coat over the weave rather than an anodised layer. Strong solvents dull it, and a dulled clear coat on a woven surface cannot be polished back the way a metal one can. It is a small habit that protects the part that makes this version worth choosing.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and RR, 2021 through 2024. The black anodised version is GTR0104TOMN and the red GTR0104TOMR. The single Grid-O slip-on is GTR0105TOM. For MY2025 onwards, Spark's homologated slip-ons are GTR0108TOM and GTR0108DOM.
Road Approval
Euro5 approved. Legal for road use as supplied.
