The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast. The eye takes the entire load path from wheel to chassis. End caps close the tube and usually carry the adjusters and the gas valve.

Original Öhlins Part

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 15447-03 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 1.5 mm, dimension b 34.5 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Top eyes with an integrated preload adjuster are listed as one part. The cap seals against an O-ring, so its face finish matters.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15447-03

Category: End Caps

Dimension A: 1.5 mm

Dimension B: 34.5 mm

Thread: M51x1.5

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15447-03_fb43533b-45fa-4b82-91b6-36922cb3ce52.png?v=1788878849
