Axle clamps are machined so the axle clamps without pinching the fork out of alignment.

Key Features

Dimension A 50 mm

Öhlins part number 04760-24

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension C 478 mm

Dimension B 54 mm

What It Is

Öhlins gives it as 50 mm, 54 mm, 478 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. Outer tubes are specific to the fork model and its travel. Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 04760-24 in this case. The published dimensions are dimension a 50 mm, dimension b 54 mm, dimension c 478 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking. Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04760-24

Category: Outer Tubes

Dimension A: 50 mm

Dimension B: 54 mm

Dimension C: 478 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04760-24_140c6502-122c-4291-98c3-73e24c647af1.png?v=1788873155
