A Motorcycle Counted in Dozens
Forty-four exist. That number changes the character of every decision an owner makes, because there is no second chance to source a correct part and no possibility of finding a used one when something is damaged beyond repair.
Matte Black Is Unforgiving
The LH44's finish shows every mark and cannot be polished out the way a metallic scheme can. Owners of these motorcycles are consequently careful in a way that owners of ordinary F4s are not, and that carefulness extends to the handlebar.
Forged Wheels, Standard Switchgear
MV specified this bike down to the wheel forging process and the exhaust material, and then fitted the switch housing every other F4 uses. It is the one component where the specification returns to ordinary production.
Bolted, Not Modified
The replacement uses the motorcycle's own connector. Nothing is drilled, nothing is cut and the original assembly refits in reverse, which on a machine this rare is the difference between a defensible change and an indefensible one.
Choosing a Finish Here
Black, red and titanium are offered. On matte black bodywork with sparing gold, black is the only one that does not introduce a colour the designers deliberately excluded, and it is what almost every owner selects.
Sealed for Long Storage
Motorcycles kept rather than ridden still deteriorate. Temperature cycling in a garage draws moisture through a moulded seam over years, and sealed elements inside a single-piece body are what prevent that quietly happening.
Machined Throughout
One billet of Ergal 7075, cut and then anodised. The clamp tightens with a fastener onto the clip-on rather than snapping around it, which on a motorcycle handled as carefully as this one is also simply nicer to work with.
