DescriptionThe whole story▼
MV Agusta's Brutale 1000 RR is a naked bike with a four-cylinder superbike engine and aerodynamic wings at the front, built for riders who want the drama of a superbike without a fairing. One edition carries the name of the Nürburgring, and that name leads straight to a question German riders know well: when is a lap of the Nordschleife a track day, and when is it a ride on a public road? The answer decides which cap belongs on the tank. For the Brutale 1000 RR of 2019 to 2023, the Nürburgring edition included, Accossato lists the FC119, a quick-release cap machined from aluminium.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR, 2019 to 2023
- Also listed for the Brutale 1000 Nürburgring of 2021 to 2023
- CNC-machined aluminium throughout
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Pawl available separately as a spare
- No German ABE documented; for closed circuits
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the FC119 from aluminium on CNC equipment and makes the whole cap from that one material, describing it as robust and durable; the design is new. On the Brutale 1000 RR, the quick-closing pawl opens the filler in a moment and closes it just as quickly. You choose the pin colour from six options when ordering. Should the pawl be damaged, it can be bought on its own.
Tourist Drives Are Not Track Days
During the Nordschleife's tourist drives, the circuit is legally a one-way toll road and German road traffic law applies: bikes must be registered and roadworthy, and the rules of the road stay in force. A part without a German ABE or parts certificate therefore has no place on a Brutale 1000 RR that is lapping on a tourist-drive ticket, however much the setting feels like a race track. Things are different on days when an organiser hires the circuit exclusively for a closed event, whether on the Grand Prix track or on the Nordschleife itself. There, as on any other closed circuit, the FC119 is in its element. The practical consequence is simple: know which kind of day you have booked. On a tourist drive, the original cap stays on. On a closed track day, swap caps in the paddock with a cold engine, check the fit before the first session and change back before you ride home on public roads.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two entries on Accossato's list point to the FC119: the Brutale 1000 RR of 2019 to 2023 and the Brutale 1000 Nürburgring of 2021 to 2023, so this product covers 2019 to 2023. In our range the same cap is also listed for the Brutale 1000 RS, the Rush 1000 and the F4 1000. Please compare your bike with the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
The FC119 carries no German ABE and no documented parts certificate, so it is for closed circuits only, not for public roads or tourist drives. There the Brutale 1000 RR needs its original cap, which normally opens with the ignition key.
