DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Ninja 125 gives A1 riders the look of Kawasaki's bigger sports bikes on a small single-cylinder machine, and for many teenagers it is their first bike with a proper fairing. A first visit to a circuit brings a lot of rules at once, and some of the less obvious ones concern fuel: where it may be stored, where it may be poured and what has to lie under the bike. For the Ninja 125 of 2021 to 2024, Accossato lists the FC126, a quick-release fuel tank cap machined from aluminium with a pawl whose pin comes in six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Kawasaki Ninja 125, 2021 to 2024
- CNC-machined aluminium body
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin in gold, blue, silver, red, green or black
- Pawl sold separately as a spare
- New design, described by Accossato as robust and durable
- No German ABE documented; track use
Construction and Material Quality
The FC126 is made completely from aluminium, machined under computer control, and Accossato says it is robust and durable; the design is new. Refuelling the Ninja 125 becomes a quick job thanks to the quick-closing pawl, which opens the tank and closes it again almost at once. The pin on the pawl is available in six colours. If a tip-over in the paddock or a slide on track damages it, the pawl can be bought on its own.
Paddock Rules About Fuel
Every circuit publishes its own paddock rules, and they are worth reading before the first visit, because several of them deal with fuel. Many circuits require an absorbent environmental mat under each bike, so that drips from the tank or the engine never reach the ground. Fire extinguishers are often compulsory in each paddock space or awning. Refuelling is usually banned in the pit lane and inside the pit garages, and smoking near fuel is forbidden everywhere. The fuel itself belongs in an approved container, closed and kept in the shade. For a young rider on a Ninja 125, all this can look fussy, but the rules exist because a paddock is crowded with people, hot engines and generators. Follow them, and refuel only with the engine switched off. Put the bike on its mat, open the FC126, pour slowly, close the pawl and check the cap, then put the can away before doing anything else. Organisers notice the riders who respect the rules, and they remember the ones who do not.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's entry covers the Ninja 125 from 2021 to 2024, and we list the FC126 for those four model years. An older Ninja 125 is not included in the entry, so please ask us before ordering one for it. The Ninja 400 and the Ninja 500 share this cap in our shop.
Road Approval
The FC126 has neither a German ABE nor a documented parts certificate, so it is for the circuit. A Ninja 125 ridden on public roads should wear its original cap there, which normally locks with the ignition key.
