DescriptionThe whole story▼
This is the expensive one, and for a reason: JP KS DU001 is not just a button but a complete machined cover assembly for the 2025-on Panigale V4, replacing the ignition block and the top-yoke panel around it in a single part. It costs roughly four times what a standard kill switch costs, and it changes the whole appearance of the cockpit rather than one component in it.
Key Features
- For the 2025–2026 Panigale V4, V4 S and V4 R
- Integrated cover: replaces the ignition block and the surrounding yoke panel
- Removes key, lock and barrel from the motorcycle
- Around 350 g saved on the ignition assembly alone
- Machined from solid Ergal, anodised
- IP69K push button; Key Box supplied for the immobiliser
Why It Costs What It Costs
A standard kill switch is one machined body. This is a switch plus a fitted cover panel, cut to the contour of the 2025 Panigale's top yoke, which is a considerably larger piece of billet and a considerably longer time in the machine. What you get for it is a cockpit with no visible join between the switch and the yoke — the reason people fit it is as much the finished look as the function.
2025 Onwards Only
The cover is cut to the 2025 Panigale V4's yoke profile. It will not fit the 2018–2024 bikes, which have a different shape as well as a different ignition connector — those take a standard switch instead. This is a part where the model year is not negotiable.
Installation
The assembly bolts to the standard mounting points and the factory ignition connector transfers across unchanged. The Key Box holding the original key connects to the immobiliser antenna. Nothing is cut, so the original block and panel can be refitted — worth knowing given what this part costs and what the bike is worth.
