DescriptionThe whole story▼
The great virtue of a small enduro two-stroke is that you can pick it up. A TE 125 that stops on a wet root climb and lies down does not need two riders and a plan; the owner drags it round, points it back downhill and starts again. That ease is why bikes like this get ridden in places bigger machines never reach, and it is also why they go over so often. Accossato lists the AGD316 for the TE 125 of 2014 to 2016, a silver front brake lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Front brake lever of the original type for the Husqvarna TE 125
- Accossato's entry covers 2014 to 2016
- Silver
- Right-hand side, front brake
- From Accossato's range of original spare parts types, priced as a spare
- Accossato states that the manufacturing process improves resistance after damage
- One lever
- No German ABE or test mark; listed for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
There is no reinvention here, and that is deliberate. The AGD316 follows the outline of the lever Husqvarna fitted to the TE 125, so a repair returns the bike to the state its rider already knows rather than introducing something new to get used to in the woods. Accossato developed these replacement levers around price, since a control broken on a trail is not an optional purchase, and reports that its production method leaves them more resistant after damage or a fall. The colour listed is silver, and Accossato publishes no further specification for the part.
Light Enough to Pick Up
A rider on a light bike falls more often and worries about it less, which is a good trade until the arithmetic of those falls reaches the controls. Each one is slow, almost none does any real harm, and the lever quietly takes a small load every time: pressed against a tree on one, into the ground on the next, levered slightly as the bike is dragged round by the bars on the third. Nothing breaks, and then one day something does. Two habits make a real difference on a TE 125. The first is to lift the bike by the frame and the seat rather than by the handlebar whenever you have the choice, because dragging a machine round by its controls is what turns twenty harmless drops into one bent lever. The second is to look at the cockpit properly at the end of a ride rather than at the start of the next one, when you are in a hurry. Sit on the bike, look along the bar, work the brake through its travel and feel for anything gritty or slow to return. If a blade has a twist in it, replace it: straightening is a one-time trick that leaves you with a part that will let go without warning, usually in the middle of a descent.
Fitment and Compatibility
On the TE 125 Accossato lists the AGD316 alone for 2014 to 2016, with no second brake lever and no original-type clutch lever offered for this model, so there is nothing to weigh up on the right-hand side. The AGD316 itself is a broad code and appears with us for the Husqvarna TE 250, the TE 300 and the TC 125 as well, which helps if the TE 125 shares a garage with a bigger machine. For riders after a tuning part rather than a spare, Accossato's CNC levers for this bike are the B8283 and the C7284.
Road Approval
No test or approval papers for the AGD316 were made available to us, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark can be quoted, and the lever is listed for racing and competition.
