DescriptionThe whole story▼

This folding-lever 15x19 carries over the mixed track and street 19 mm pivot distance from its fixed-lever sibling, together with the same naked-and-motard-suited 15 mm piston, but adds the protection of a lever that hinges rather than breaks when struck. The relieving eyelet, lever colour choice and matching adjusting knob all carry over unchanged, and the body keeps the natural anodised finish used throughout this part of the range.

Key Features

  • 15 mm piston diameter, suggested for naked and motard bikes
  • 19 mm fixed lever pivot distance for mixed track and street use
  • Folding lever, long version, with a relieving eyelet (RST)
  • Lever supplied in a choice of colours, with a matching adjusting knob
  • CNC-machined aluminium body with a natural anodised finish
  • Offset riser that limits master cylinder flex under hard braking
  • Passive lever stroke reduced by more than 50 percent versus a standard radial master cylinder
  • Stainless steel mounting screws, zinced bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals

Construction and Material Quality

This master cylinder is forged and CNC machined from aluminium in Italy, with a natural anodised finish applied to the body. Stainless steel screws secure the assembly, the bleed valve is zinced steel, and the seals are made from Formula 1 compound, able to cope with repeated heat cycles and ongoing exposure to brake fluid. An offset riser built into the clamp reduces how far the unit flexes under hard braking, and the bore and passages are designed to keep the passive stroke under half the length found on a standard radial master cylinder. The hose thread is the usual M10x1.

Folding Convenience at the Mixed-Use Pivot

Nothing about the braking characteristics changes between the fixed and folding versions of the 15x19: the 15 mm piston and the 19 mm mixed-use pivot distance stay exactly as they are. The folding lever simply gives the control a way to move out of the way under an impact rather than snapping, a feature naked and motard riders often appreciate given how exposed the lever is without surrounding bodywork. Riders who have already settled on the 19 mm pivot for its blend of road comfort and occasional track use can choose this folding version purely for that added resilience.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato publishes no vehicle-specific fitment data for this unit, so it is sold as a universal 15 mm radial master cylinder for 22 mm handlebar clamps. Confirm your own bar diameter, make sure your brake system suits a 15 mm bore, and double-check the calliper and disc fitted to your bike before buying.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 15x19 radial brake master cylinder fitted with the folding, long lever with relieving eyelet, in the colour selected, together with the matching mounting nut. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinced bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The stop light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
