DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the Suzuki SV650 built from 2016 to 2024, the rear brake is often used more than riders realise: to settle the bike before a roundabout, to hold it at traffic lights on a hill and to steady it at walking pace. For this rear brake Accossato offers the AGPP185 pad in the Organic compound, SKU AGPP185OR. It suits everyday riders and newer riders on restricted licences who want a progressive, easy-to-dose rear brake and a disc that lasts.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its Organic compound provides a long life while limiting disc wear. At the rear of a commuter, which does gentle but frequent work, this is a sensible profile. The company's standard aims of controlled heat and a dependable stop are included as well.
Everyday Rear Brake
Many riders on the newer SV650 are in their first years on a bigger bike, often on a restricted licence. They use the rear brake a lot at low speed, in U-turns and in slow traffic. A progressive Organic pad makes it easier to dose the rear brake precisely without locking the wheel, which builds confidence in those situations.
For commuters, the long pad life and the protection of the rear disc help to keep running costs down.
Servicing
Clean the rear caliper when changing pads, check the disc for wear and top up the fluid. After fitting, press the pedal several times until it is firm and bed the pads in gently. Check that the pedal height suits your boot, as a badly adjusted pedal makes smooth braking harder.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP185 for the rear of the SV 650 from 2016 to 2024. The older SV 650 S from 2003 to 2018 uses AGPP88 at the rear instead. For the front of the newer SV650, Accossato offers AGPA75 (2019 to 2024) and AGPA94 or AGPA95 for other years.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German approval for AGPP185OR, so it is sold for competition use.
