DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Eliminator 500 SE is the better-equipped version of Kawasaki's cruiser of 2024, and like the standard bike it keeps the rider low and relaxed, with the parallel twin from the Ninja 500 underneath. Low seats attract newer and shorter riders, and many of them spend a day on a closed skills course early on, practising slow turns, braking and swerving. Between the exercises, the bike still needs fuel. Accossato lists the FC126 for the Eliminator 500 SE of 2024: a quick-release tank cap machined from aluminium, with a pawl whose pin comes in one of six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Kawasaki Eliminator 500 SE, 2024
- Aluminium body, CNC-machined in full
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin colours: gold, black, green, red, silver, blue
- Spare pawl sold separately
- New Accossato design, robust and durable by the maker's account
- No German ABE documented; for closed courses
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato builds the FC126 from aluminium only, machined on CNC equipment, and says the cap is robust and durable; the design is new. On a bike as low as the Eliminator 500 SE, the filler is easy to reach while standing beside the bike, and the quick-closing pawl opens it without fuss and closes it again straight after. You choose the pin on the pawl in one of six colours. If the pawl is ever damaged, it can be ordered by itself.
Refuelling a Low Cruiser on a Skills Day
Closed skills courses for cruiser riders take place on training grounds and circuits, and they are demanding in a quiet way. Much of the work happens at walking pace: full-lock turns, figures of eight, emergency stops from moderate speed and a lot of clutch control. The engine runs for long periods at low speed, gets hot and cools slowly, so plan the refuel for the lunch break, when the Eliminator 500 SE has stood for a while. A low bike makes the job physically easy, since the filler is at a comfortable height and you can see into it without stretching. That comfort brings one trap: your face is closer to the opening, so keep your head back from the fumes and pour slowly through a funnel. Stop before the level reaches the neck, close the pawl and look at the cap from the side to see that it sits evenly. Wipe up any drops at once, because fuel left on the glossy paint of a cruiser tank can leave marks.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the Eliminator 500 SE separately, for 2024, and names the FC126 for it; the standard Eliminator 500 uses the same cap. In our shop it is also listed for the Ninja 7 Hybrid 450 and the Ninja 650. Check your bike against Accossato's application list before ordering.
Road Approval
The FC126 has no German ABE and no parts certificate on record, so it is meant for training grounds, circuits and other closed areas. On public roads, the SE carries its standard cap, which as a rule is unlocked with the ignition key.
