Fitted to an otherwise standard MT-X 1000, this filter does not make the motorcycle noticeably quicker — no drop-in element does, and a listing that says otherwise has left the subject of filters. What it does provide is a large reserve of flow that stays available because the cloth is washed rather than replaced, plus the same practical properties as the rest of the range: dry, oil-free, no coating anywhere near the sensors, and a service you can carry out yourself.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eCare and cleaning\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eBlow it through with compressed air from the clean side outwards, so that the load leaves by the route it arrived on. If the surface is greasy, lukewarm water with a little mild detergent will lift it; rinse until nothing further comes away. Let it dry in moving air at its own pace, well clear of heat guns, radiators and flames, and refit it dry with nothing applied.
