The crown liner is the part of a helmet that touches your head on every ride, and after a season or two it is also the part that tells you so. IN4050P is Shark's FABRIC CAP, in French COIFFE: a textile crown liner in black, offered in five sizes from XS to XL at 32.93 EUR each. Shark does not attach a helmet model to this number in its price list or on its site.

Keeping it serviceable
A removable liner lasts longer if it is washed by hand in lukewarm water with mild soap and left to dry flat at room temperature. Heat from a radiator or tumble dryer can distort the padding, and a liner that has changed shape no longer sits the way it did.
Picking the size
The liner size follows the helmet size, not your head measurement on the day. Look at the label inside the shell or on the old liner and order the same letter. Five sizes are listed: XS, S, M, L and XL. There is no XXL under this number.
Scope of delivery
One crown liner in the size you choose, black, variant codes such as IN4050PBLKM for size M. There is a second liner with the same English designation, FABRIC CAP, under IN83066P: that one carries the Alveotech V2 label, the code RED and a price of 25.37 EUR. If your old liner says Alveotech V2, you need that number.
How it goes on
Unclip the old liner at the front first, then at the sides and rear, and look at where each fastener sat. The new one goes in the other way round: rear first, then sides, then front, pressing each fastener until it holds. Put the cheek pads back last.
