DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born from OZ's SBK Racing division, the Piega R aluminium rear wheel is the track-only evolution of the acclaimed Piega range — lighter, faster to respond, and engineered without compromise for the Aprilia RSV4, RSV4 1100 Factory, RF, and RR (2017–2020). Reduced rotating mass sharpens steering input, lifts agility at high speed, and gives you the edge that standard wheels simply cannot match.
Key Features
- Lighter than the standard Piega wheel, with meaningfully lower rotating mass for faster direction changes and improved chassis response.
- Five-spoke Piega R profile designed and validated by OZ's SBK Racing department — geometry optimised for circuit loads and tyre temperatures.
- Forged high-grade aluminium construction: exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio without sacrificing structural integrity under race stress.
- Available in two premium anodised finishes — techno black and techno gold — both resistant to corrosion and track wear.
- Made in Italy to OZ's exacting manufacturing standards, ensuring consistent quality, dimensional accuracy, and long service life.
- Supplied with quality bearings, aluminium angle valves, and spacers (fitted where required); a dedicated sprocket carrier is included, as the original rear sprocket is not compatible.
Track-Bred Design
The Piega R is not a road wheel with race aesthetics — it is a purpose-built circuit component. OZ's SBK Racing engineers developed the five-spoke layout to balance torsional rigidity against rotational inertia, the two competing demands that define how a wheel feels mid-corner. The result is a rear wheel that loads the tyre more progressively, gives the suspension more freedom to work, and lets the RSV4's engine deliver its power to the ground with less mechanical resistance in the drivetrain.
Both finish options — techno black anodised and techno gold anodised — are achieved through a hard-anodising process that goes beyond cosmetics, adding a layer of surface hardness that resists the abrasion and chemical exposure inevitable on a race circuit.
Fitment and Compatibility
This rear wheel is developed specifically for the following models:
- Aprilia RSV4 (2017–2020)
- Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory (2017–2020)
- Aprilia RSV4 RF (2017–2020)
- Aprilia RSV4 RR (2017–2020)
Note: the Piega R is optimised exclusively for track use. The original rear sprocket is not compatible; the included sprocket carrier must be used with an appropriate aftermarket rear sprocket.
