The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21044-05

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins builds click adjusters with defined detents so a setting can be written down and returned to. Needle and seat together meter the bleed flow; damage to either changes the whole adjustment range. The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything.

Genuine Service Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 21044-05 in this case. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins specifies a defined number of clicks per adjuster so a setting is a number, not an impression. Preload adjusters carry the full spring force and are built accordingly.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21044-05

Category: Adjusters

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21044-05_e86e8e3b-c576-4db9-8b88-9cba05fbda8e.png?v=1788879403
