Öhlins machines housings from solid billet rather than casting them. Mounting hardware is model-specific — the damper body may be common, the brackets never are. Adaptor pieces let one damper body serve several mounting geometries.

Why the Original

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 05688-07 in this case. The published dimensions are dimension a 25 mm, dimension b 14 mm, dimension c 15 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only. A cracked bracket is a safety matter, not a cosmetic one.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05688-07

Category: Top Mounts

Dimension A: 25 mm

Dimension B: 14 mm

Dimension C: 15 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05688-07_d2aa6ce8-3c0d-4ad8-9aae-4694262fced5.png?v=1788874535
