Progressive springs change rate through the stroke and suit short-travel machines. Free length and inner diameter decide fit; the rate decides behaviour. Springs are a service part: they age, they settle, and replacing them restores the geometry.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 25652-01 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. A settled spring lowers the machine and steepens the steering without anyone changing a setting. Öhlins measures each spring after setting rather than relying on the winding specification.

Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 25652-01

Category: Springs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/25652-01_69e04d9f-a3bd-4be6-aa34-d2e0c296c391.png?v=1788878534
