A spacer sets an internal dimension: preload on a stack, free length, or the position of a piston.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 24629-42

Where It Sits

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Sealing washers are consumables — they take their shape on first assembly and do not seal twice. Spacers are machined rather than cut, so the ends are square and the load is even. Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 24629-42 in this case. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. Substituting a spacer changes the internal geometry, not just the fit.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 24629-42

Category: Spacers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/24629-42_85fb5916-8d78-4895-aee9-1e9edc397642.png?v=1788880772
