What It Is
The published figures are 10 mm, 12 mm, 38 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need. These are the parts that are easy to lose on the bench and impossible to improvise afterwards.
Genuine Service Part
Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.
Getting the Number Right
Part number 24629-54 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. dimension a 10 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 38 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A spacer sets an internal dimension: preload on a stack, free length, or the position of a piston. Öhlins specifies thread-locking compound by position; not every fastener wants it.
Fitting and Setup Service
We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.
