Öhlins stamps and grinds its shims to tolerances a general-purpose washer never holds. The stack is the tuning: outer diameter sets where the shim bends, thickness sets how hard it resists. Outer diameter sets the lever the oil works against, and thickness sets the resistance.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00185-22 in this case. Check inner diameter 8 mm, outer diameter 22 mm, thickness 0.15 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Face flatness matters as much as thickness — a shim that does not seal against its neighbour leaks damping. The stack is the tuning: outer diameter sets where the shim bends, thickness sets how hard it resists.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00185-22

Category: Shims

Inner Diameter: 8 mm

Outer Diameter: 22 mm

Thickness: 0.15 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00185-22_6d0c7b3c-e6a2-4f5f-919d-5dfda0c10ab3.png?v=1788868799
