DescriptionThe whole story▼
Shims 12/18/0.15, Öhlins part number 01115-18. Revalving means changing the stack, which is why Öhlins sells shims individually.
Key Features
- Original Öhlins service part
- Thickness 0.15 mm
- Outer Diameter 18 mm
- Inner Diameter 12 mm
- Öhlins part number 01115-18
Function
The published figures are 12 mm, 18 mm, 0.15 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. A worn or bent shim shows up as damping that has quietly drifted from the setting sheet. Revalving means changing the stack, which is why Öhlins sells shims individually. Suspension technicians keep these in stock by size because a revalve means changing several at once.
Original Öhlins Part
Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.
How to Be Sure It Fits
01115-18 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Check inner diameter 12 mm, outer diameter 18 mm, thickness 0.15 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Öhlins grinds shims to a flatness tolerance because the faces have to seal against each other. A coned or marked shim is finished — it no longer seals against its neighbour.
Fitting and Setup Service
Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.
