The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 04763-22

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does. Öhlins builds click adjusters with defined detents so a setting can be written down and returned to.

Why the Original

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

How to Be Sure It Fits

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 04763-22. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04763-22

Category: Preload Tubes

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04763-22_890775e2-db33-4eca-9056-cddfb3c64fc0.png?v=1788873315
