Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it. Preload adjusters carry the full spring force and are built accordingly. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup.

Genuine Service Part

Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 04763-24 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Preload adjusters carry the full spring force and are built accordingly. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04763-24

Category: Preload Tubes

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04763-24_6e7b19d7-5bda-4e01-9902-1656b071f41a.png?v=1788873317
