A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21627-45

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. Öhlins machines the axle clamp so it grips without pulling the fork out of alignment. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Why the Original

Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Getting the Number Right

21627-45 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. The fork bottom carries the axle and takes the braking load into the fork. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21627-45

Category: Fork Bottoms

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21627-45_95c4fb23-f971-4e0b-bf3f-0882dd53400c.png?v=1788879704
