Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism. The fork bottom carries the axle and takes the braking load into the fork. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 21664-12. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins machines the axle clamp so it grips without pulling the fork out of alignment. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21664-12

Category: Fork Bottoms

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21664-12_8909e6ca-9130-4ab9-aa3a-140e16429924.png?v=1788879989
