Eye width and bore diameter both have to match the chassis mount. The end eye carries the whole load of the damper into the chassis. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for tired damping.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 25040-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Thread size and eye diameter identify the part. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for tired damping.

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 25040-01

Category: End Eyes

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/25040-01_f7bfbffe-c362-4569-803f-a02cd85f32c9.png?v=1788880881
