Öhlins turns and hones each tube to a defined roundness, because an out-of-round bore leaks past the piston.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21070-13

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Diameter and length together identify the tube — both are specific to the damper it came from. Aluminium tubes are hard-anodised in the bore so the piston band has a hard surface to run against. Reservoir tubes carry the gas charge and are built to the same standard as the working cylinder.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 21070-13 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins hones its tubes to a defined surface finish rather than simply to a diameter. The cylinder is one of the few damper parts that is genuinely wear-limited.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21070-13

Category: Cylinder Heads

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21070-13_c0ca702e-770d-467d-85ca-9b7c49df6a51.png?v=1788879472
