- Dimension B 37 mm
Function
At 14 mm, 37 mm, 31 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. Length is a specification because it defines where the progressive part of the stroke begins. Öhlins tunes bump stop length and stiffness to the stroke of the unit. This is a wear part: it takes every hard hit the suspension sees.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.
Identifying the Right Part
Order under 24630-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Check dimension a 14 mm, dimension b 37 mm, dimension c 31 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. The bump stop takes the last part of the stroke and keeps metal off metal. Öhlins tunes bump stop length and stiffness to the stroke of the unit.
Fitting and Setup Service
We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.
