DescriptionThe whole story

Few workshop accessories combine Italian precision engineering with genuine aesthetic flair quite like the LighTech SCV004 bobbins. Machined from solid aluminium and finished in a rich anodised colour of your choice, these swingarm spools are as visually considered as they are functionally dependable — a fitting match for the GSX-R 1000's own performance pedigree across two decades of production.

Key Features

  • CNC-machined aluminium construction delivers the strength and precision that LighTech is renowned for throughout the paddock.
  • Direct M8 thread fitment into the swingarm — no adapters, no modification, no wasted time.
  • Compatible with any standard V-head rear paddock stand, making workshop maintenance and track-day preparation effortless.
  • Available in six anodised colour options, each with its own dedicated part number, so you can coordinate perfectly with your GSX-R's livery.
  • Supplied as a complete set: two bobbins plus the appropriate mounting bolts, ready to fit straight out of the box.
  • Covers the full GSX-R 1000 lineage from 2005 through to 2025, including K5, K7, L0, L2, L7 and Euro 5 variants from 2021 onwards.

Design, Finish and Heritage

LighTech has been supplying race teams and discerning road riders since the brand's earliest days in Italian motorsport, and the SCV004 reflects exactly that lineage. The anodised finish is not merely decorative — it creates a durable oxide layer that resists corrosion and workshop scuffs in equal measure. Whether you choose the understated elegance of silver or the bold contrast of cobalt blue, the quality of the surface treatment is immediately apparent. These are components that belong on a machine taken seriously.

Performance and Practicality

Lifting a GSX-R 1000 should be a confident, repeatable procedure whether you are in a heated garage or a busy circuit paddock. The SCV004 bobbins thread directly into the swingarm's existing M8 threaded holes and seat with the positive engagement you need before a V-head stand takes the bike's full weight. There is no flex, no rattle and no compromise. Ideal for chain and tyre maintenance, suspension setup, pre-race preparation or safe motorcycle transport.

Please note: these bobbins require M8 threaded holes to be present in the swingarm. They are not suitable for single-sided swingarm configurations.
