DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ACS 050X is the throttle housing cut for the X Diavel's pulled-back handlebar, machined from Ergal.
Key Features
- Ducati X Diavel (2016–2023)
- Throttle housing without switch block
- Profile cut for this model family
- CNC-machined from Ergal 7075
- Black anodised
- Machined throttle tube bore
A Cruiser Bar
The X Diavel's handlebar sweeps toward the rider further than any other Ducati's. That changes the cable exit angle completely, which is why this profile exists separately from the Diavel one.
Belt Drive
Ducati used a toothed belt rather than a chain, which is quieter, cleaner and entirely appropriate for the category. It is also the clearest sign the company was taking the format seriously.
A Hundred and Fifty-Two Horsepower
From the 1262 cc Testastretta DVT, retuned for low-rev torque. It still revs considerably further than anything else in the cruiser class and Ducati never made a secret of that.
Housing Only
The switch block is untouched. This covers the throttle assembly, which is what an owner needs when the electrics are working properly.
An Unusual Wrist Angle
Forward controls and pulled-back bars put the hand on the grip in a position no sports bike produces. Precision in the housing matters more here rather than less.
Black Anodised
Converted into the metal. The X Diavel carries a great deal of blackened and machined aluminium and this belongs among it.
Cut From Solid
Ergal 7075 at roughly double the yield strength of ordinary machined alloy. On a motorcycle weighing what this one does, a low-speed drop puts real load into the bar.
Ergonomics You Can Change
Ducati offered several peg positions, seats and bars so the same motorcycle could fit very different riders. It is a level of accommodation the company rarely bothers with.
A Cruiser Built Properly
Most manufacturers approach this category half-heartedly. Ducati kept the brakes, the electronics and the engine it would have used anywhere else, and produced something genuinely unlike the American alternatives.
