DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Streetfighter V4 S with the JP ACS 050 machined throttle housing in black anodised Ergal 7075.
Key Features
- Ducati Streetfighter V4 S (2020–2024)
- Throttle housing without switch block
- CNC-machined from Ergal 7075
- Black anodised
- Machined throttle tube bore
- Uses the original cables or sensor
Öhlins on a Naked V4
The S adds electronically managed Öhlins and forged wheels to a motorcycle with 208 hp and no fairing. The suspension is doing continuous work rather than sitting at a compromise setting.
The Same Engine as the Superbike
The 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale, counter-rotating crank and all, in a chassis with upright bars. Ducati changed the airbox and the final drive and left the rest of it alone.
Biplane Winglets
Two elements per side, developed to keep the front wheel down at high speed on a bike with nothing to hold it there. On the S they are also the first thing anyone notices.
Throttle Assembly Only
The switch block is unaffected. This is the housing on its own, appropriate when the switchgear is working and only the moulded plastic is objectionable.
The Bore Matters
The tube rotates inside this body and a sensor reads it. Machined rather than formed, that bore keeps its dimension across years of use where an injection-moulded one drifts.
One Finish
Black, anodised through the surface. Against gold suspension and forged wheels it is the component that stays quiet, which on this motorcycle is welcome.
Aerospace Alloy
Ergal 7075 at roughly twice the yield strength of ordinary machined aluminium. Harder to cut, considerably more durable at a clamping face.
An Unreasonable Motorcycle
A hundred and seventy-eight kilograms dry, 208 horsepower and handlebars. Ducati built it because it could, and the S is the version for people who wanted the idea taken further.
Where the Airbox Went
Removing the fairing meant Ducati had to feed the V4 from somewhere else, and the intake now draws through openings beside the headstock rather than through a fairing nose. It is one of several places where the Streetfighter is a genuine redesign rather than a Panigale with the bodywork unbolted.
