For the 2015 to 2018 R3, the JP PD YA015 replaces the right-hand switch with a machined Ergal body on a universal clamp pattern.

Three Hundred and Twenty-One Cubic Centimetres
Yamaha's small twin arrived in 2015 into a class that was expanding quickly, and it undercut the competition on weight while matching them on power. It became one of the standard first big bikes across Europe and the basis for a great deal of entry-level racing.
The Pre-Facelift Bike
This fitment covers the original shape, before the 2019 revision brought inverted forks, a new fairing and a different instrument panel. The two generations look distinct enough to tell apart, and they are not electrically interchangeable.
A First Bike That Gets Modified
Machines in this class belong to riders who are enthusiastic and often new, and they are personalised more thoroughly than anything else in a showroom. Levers and bar ends go on early; the switch housing is noticed once everything around it has changed.
Racing on Three Hundreds
The R3 fills entry-level grids in several countries, and those bikes get proper preparation. A universal clamp pattern matters there because the front brake is among the first things a regulation or a rider insists on improving.
Parked Outside
Small motorcycles are disproportionately kept without a garage. Sealed switch elements inside a one-piece milled body are what determine whether the controls still work properly in the third winter.
Two Finishes
Black and titanium. Both anodised through the surface, so a low-speed drop in a car park dulls the component instead of stripping it back to bright metal.
Superbike Construction on a Small Bike
Ergal 7075 milled from solid is what JetPrime uses on litre-class switchgear. Applied to a 321 cc motorcycle it is either excessive or exactly right, depending entirely on how long the owner intends to keep it.
