DescriptionThe whole story▼
The left-hand street switch for the MT-07: indicators, horn and beam, machined from Ergal 7075.
Key Features
- Yamaha MT-07 (2014–2020)
- Full street control set
- Black anodised
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
A Simple Cluster
This generation of MT-07 has no riding modes and no colour display to navigate, so the left-hand controls handle the indicators, the horn and the beam and nothing else. Fewer functions means larger buttons and better separation, which suits a bike ridden in winter gloves.
The Commuter's Control
The indicator switch is the most-used control on any road motorcycle and the first to go vague. On a bike doing daily mileage it may be operated tens of thousands of times a year, and nothing about that is dramatic enough to notice happening.
No Protection Whatsoever
No screen, no fairing, no fly screen on most examples. Rain arrives at the switchgear directly and stays there, which is why sealed elements and a body without a moulded joint matter more here than on a faired machine.
What Owners Change First
Suspension, then brakes, then the cockpit. By the time levers and bar ends have been fitted, the moulded switch housing is usually the last obviously standard item in the rider's view.
The Bike That Sold Everywhere
The MT-07 was Europe's best-selling motorcycle for several years running. That popularity is why an aftermarket this deep exists for a machine at this price point, and why parts continue to be made for a generation that ended in 2020.
Milled From Solid
One block of Ergal 7075 rather than two mouldings clipped together. There is no joint for a button to sit across and nothing to work loose under the twin's uneven firing pulse.
Black Anodised
A single finish. Against the MT-07's dark cockpit it is what the component should be, and the colour goes through the surface rather than sitting on top of it.
